Changes to main 10 am service on Sunday
Since the introduction of our new alternative service, The Hub@10, we will be changing the traditional 10 am service on Sunday.
Over the next month we will be having a Sung Eucharist on the 1st & 3rd Sundays.
The Park Orchards worship site will be closed at the end of September.
Beginning in October we will have a Sung Eucharist every week, with some additional responses that are presently being used at Park Orchards.
This format will be trialled until the end of the year at which time we will evaluate how people feel about the service. In the meantime if you have any queries or suggestions about the new format could you please contact Michael Lazarus in person or by phone on 9876 9433.
The Hub@10
The Hub@10 is our new alternative service on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. It takes place in our new facility called The Hub. The service is designed to be all-inclusive, multi-generational and interactive and we have two teams at present who have been working extremely hard organizing and putting it all together.
We had our first service on Sunday, 22 August which was a wonderful success with over 60 people in attendance. The teenagers were especially pleased with how it all went and are very excited about planning these worship times.
If you are interested in being a part of a team or you have particular gifts and talents you would like to use, please speak to Wendy on 0413 608 737.
Our next service is on Sunday, 5 September at 10 am in The Hub.
For our service on Sunday, 19 September, we are asking you to email a picture of the place that you feel the presence of God the most.
Also, we need about 60 keys for this service, so if you have any keys you no longer need or perhaps don't even remember what they are for, please bring them to church and give them to Wendy Capper, Deb Newton or Emily Martin.
Please email your pictures to Clare at spongebob.lover@live.com.

Asylum Seekers need sewing machines and computers
Please ring the parish office if you have one you are prepared to give away.
St Oswald's Glen Iris is part of an ecumenical group, which supports asylum seekers, especially those on temporary protection visas, by providing rent free housing, financial and moral support. The West Papuan refugees who arrived in 2006 are being supported by St Hilary's Kew as they build new lives in Australia. Many parishes donate food, travel and telephone cards to the Asylum Seekers Centre at Dandenong. Asylum seekers in detention camps desperately need friends and St Paul's Cathedral Parish is engaged in a visiting program.
Contact The Revd Jim Brady (96534304). Maybe your parish could participate in similar ministries?
