The Reverend Margaret June Taylor
Honorary Deacon at St Paul's.
In the last 12 years I have been a Parish Deacon serving part-time in the Parish of St Alban's North Melbourne for the first 10 of those years, while at the same time working part-time as Manager of the Mission House Fitzroy for Anglicare Victoria. Now in December 2007 I am retiring from my work at the Mission House.
Prior to these years I have worked for four years with Peter Burke at St Mark's Community Centre Fitzroy, then as a Lay Minister in St John's West Brunswick, St Paul's Ascot Vale and my home parish of St Mark's Templestowe. During these years I studied for my Bachelor of Theology at Yarra Theological College. My first return to study was in Clinical Pastoral Education at INSTEP. When accepted as a candidate for the diaconate, I studied for a year at Trinity. I was ordained while working at St Paul's Canterbury.
I am a widow as my husband Allan died soon after my ordination. I have four daughters, Dianne, Christine, Amanda and Miranda, and eight grandchildren. Dianne lives with her husband Craig and two sons in Echuca, the rest of the family lives nearby.
My hobbies include art, Carlton Football Club, watching all sport, photography, gardening and music.
